Zenon-Media GmbH (www.zenon-media.com),
the well-known German provider of broadcast software solutions, has
joined with Axia Audio to enable direct communication from their popular
ALL IN ONE playout software suite to Axia IP-Audio networks.
Equipped with a customized version of Axia’s IP-Audio
Driver software, ALL IN ONE users will be able to send broadcast-quality
audio, with embedded GPIO control logic, from any Windows®-based audio
workstation directly to their Axia audio network. This is accomplished
using only the computer’s standard network interface card — relieving
Zenon-Media clients of the hassle and expense associated with
multi-output PC sound cards, GPIO interfaces and multiple serial cables.
According to Dominique Wenger, CEO of Zenon-Media, “Radio
and TV professionals are beginning to realize the numerous benefits of
tightly integrated distribution and content delivery systems. We believe
that distribution of audio using IP networks will revolutionize
broadcasting in the coming years. Our partnership with Axia helps place
Zenon-Media on the leading edge of that revolution.”
“IP-Audio networks give users the ability to easily
transport audio, control logic, Program-Associated Data and standard
network traffic over the same cable, using standard switched Ethernet,
resulting in dramatic operational and construction cost benefits for new
facilities,” says Axia president Michael Dosch. “Zenon-Media has
embraced this concept, and we welcome their partnership in creating
next-generation studio networks for broadcasters around the world.”
Zenon-Media joins the growing list of Axia partners (www.axiaaudio.com/partners/)
offering products that integrate with Axia IP-Audio networks. In
addition to the soundcard-eliminating IP-Audio driver, the Axia system
includes a family of microphone, analog line and AES/EBU “audio nodes”
and DSP mix engines, as well as the popular Element Modular Control
Surface and SmartSurface Studio Control Surface.
