Axia Audio is teaming up with Broadcasters General Store and Radio Systems to bring a free “Livewire University” workshop to Philadelphia on Friday, February 15, 2008.

Livewire University is designed to educate and illuminate broadcast engineers who want to familiarize themselves with IP-Audio Networks. Presented by Axia Audio’s Ken Skok and Jim Armstrong, IP-University helps attendees understand why IP-Audio networks are so well-suited for modern, computer-centric studios, and educates them with the practical knowledge of how to benefit from the advantages of IP-Audio networks’ integration with network-aware broadcast products. Co-sponsors of the event are 25/Seven Systems, AudioScience, Broadcast Bionics and International Datacasting.

Among the topics to be covered:

  • How IP-Audio can be used to integrate broadcast studios quickly and cost-effectively

  • Integration with CAT-5 wiring systems

  • Time-shifting and time compression via IP-Audio

  • Sound cards and sound card replacements

  • Integration of automation systems

  • Call screening on IP-Audio networks via Ethernet links

  • Satellite distribution via IP-Audio
