Axia Audio is teaming up with Broadcasters General Store and SBE Chapter 47 to bring a free “Livewire University” workshop to Los Angeles on Friday, February 27, 2009.
Livewire University is designed to educate and illuminate broadcast engineers who want to familiarize themselves with IP-Audio Networks and understand why IP-Audio networks and network-aware broadcast products are so well-suited for modern, computer-centric studios. Co-sponsors of the event are Livewire partners 25/Seven Systems, AudioScience Broadcast Bionics, BSI, Radio Systems and International Datacasting.
Among the topics to be covered:
- Audio over IP: Not just for consoles anymore
- Audio Time Manager time-shifting & compression tools (via IP-Audio)

Livewire University is a free event. Broadcasters are invited to come any time and stay as long as they wish; lunch will be provided. The event takes place Friday, February 27, 2009, from 8:30 AM to 3PM at The Holiday Inn Media Center, 150 E. Angeleno St., Burbank, CA.
