Broadcasters with Axia IP-Audio routing networks have long sung the praises of Axia PathfinderPC and PathfinderPRO, sophisticated software suites with a rich set of tools that give users the power to craft extremely powerful custom routing functions.

Now, Pathfinder Core PRO delivers the power of PathfinderPRO, and more, in a dedicated hardware appliance — no Windows server required. Programmed using an intuitive graphical software interface, Pathfinder Core PRO is fast, efficient, and simple to use: just attach to your network, give it an IP address, and it automatically builds a detailed Axia / GPIO router table for you to use.

Along with the complete set of PathfinderPRO tools, Pathfinder Core PRO adds new capabilities — such as automatic configuration backup, improved clustering support for more than two servers, multi-site clusters, local clustering auto-discovery, and powerful Core Events tools. Pathfinder Core PRO is your choice for the ultimate in reliable, redundant, system-wide routing control.

The Pathfinder family of routing control tools lets broadcasters easily create sophisticated audio routing applications — from simple point-to-point routes to complex, multi-point scene changes that can reconfigure an entire facility on demand, at specified times, or in response to pre-programmed events. Upon installation, Pathfinder Core PRO automatically scans the network, gathering information about audio sources and destinations. Administrators can then “point and click” using Pathfinder Core PRO’s Web interface to send audio from one place to another, creating single route points, or Snapshots that change multiple routes — all lockable, to prevent inadvertent changes.

Pathfinder Core PRO capabilities include:

  • Automatic device discovery.
  • Automatic configuration backup.
  • Clustering Support for two or more servers, and multi-site clusters for true distributed-network server redundancy, and built-in bridge applications that help serial port controllers work with redundant servers.
  • Combining of audio and machine logic into a single “virtual router” to route bi-directional audio and GPIO together.
  • Audio metering combined with silence sense that “watchdogs” audio sources, automatically switching to a backup source (and sending an alert e-mail) if audio is not present.
  • A Panel Designer GUI with full hardware mapping support that lets users create custom virtual “button panels” that run from networked PCs or map to Axia accessory control panels.
  • A unique, graphical “Core Events” editor that eliminates tedious script writing.
  • Routing displays with complete host and Axia channel number information.
  • Detailed, fully customizable system event logging.
  • Picture graphics support that lets users create and upload custom graphics for use with user-designed software control panels.
  • Licensed for an unlimited number of Axia devices and client PC connections.
  • Support for routing and translating of serial, TCP and UDP ports.
  • Complete delivery system integration with Sine Systems ACU-1, Pro-Bel and BTools protocol emulators.
  • Direct control of Axia Element consoles’ VMIX (Virtual Mixer) functionality.
  • Snap-in real-time metering and client Web browser controls that provide added options for user-designed software control panels. Browser controls support multimedia audio and video, allowing embedded A/V streaming displays in software mini-panels.

Pathfinder Core Pro will debut at NAB 2011 Las Vegas, in the Telos/Omnia/Axia display. Find us in the Central Hall, Booth #C3113. For more information, contact Clark Novak at Axia Audio, via email at cnovak@AxiaAudio.com  or by phone at +1-216-241-7225.
