Manx Radio (www.manxradio.com),
the long-time independent broadcaster serving the Isle of Man, and voice
of the annual International Isle of Man TT motorcycle race, has chosen
Axia Audio consoles, routing systems and intercoms to upgrade its
operations.
The sale, made through Axia UK distributor Broadcast Bionics,
includes a suite of 4 Element 2.0 IP consoles with PowerStation
integrated console engines, several Axia IP Intercom rack stations and
IP Intercom console drop-in modules, and multiple Axia audio nodes for
routing and audio distribution.
Axia Element 2.0 radio consoles are installed in more than 2,000
studios worldwide. They can be customized with a variety of available
modules, including hybrid control modules for Telos talkshow systems,
Production modules with direct control over source EQ and console
auxiliary send buses, and intercom modules.
Axia IP Intercom is a broadcast intercom system that includes
rackmount and desktop stations, and drop-in modules that allow seamless
communication directly from Element consoles. IP Intercom delivers
full-bandwidth audio via Ethernet, and its unique interconnection
between intercom and console allows audio from any station in the
broadcast plant to be immediately brought to air.
Axia allows broadcasters to quickly and easily build audio networks
using switched Ethernet to connect a few rooms, or an entire facility.
Axia networks have a total system capacity of more than 10,000 audio
streams, and can carry hundreds of digital stereo channels (plus machine
logic and PAD) over a single CAT-6 cable, eliminating much of the cost
normally associated with wiring labor and infrastructure. Axia radio
consoles are a hit, with installations in over 2,000 studios worldwide.
