Ohana Broadcast (www.ohanaradio.com)
has taken delivery of 6 studios worth of new Axia Audio consoles and
networking gear to be installed in their five-station Honolulu station
cluster.
Ohana’s KQMQ-FM, KUMU-FM, KPOI-FM, KDDB-FM and KKHA will all get new
Axia Element 2.0 mixing consoles backed with PowerStation integrated
console engines. Highlights of the order include 6 Element consoles, 6
PowerStation console engines, and 13 copies of the Axia IP-Audio Driver
for Windows, plus several Axia audio nodes, which interface traditional
analog and AES signals to the networked AoIP environment.
The sale marks Axia’s first installation in the Hawai’ian islands.
“It’s great to be part of the new facilities at Ohana,” says Axia
Marketing Director Clark Novak. “In Hawai’ian, ‘ohana’ means ‘family.’
That fits right in with the Axia philosophy — we try to treat our
clients like family, more than just customers.”
A big part of being in a family means being there when you’re needed.
To that end, Axia is always on-call with 24/7 Support, ready to help
whenever our clients need us — the only radio console manufacturer to
offer such ‘round the clock technical service.
Axia allows broadcasters to quickly and easily build audio networks
using switched Ethernet to connect a few rooms, or an entire facility.
Axia networks have a total system capacity of more than 10,000 audio
streams, and can carry hundreds of digital stereo channels (plus machine
logic and PAD) over a single CAT-6 cable, eliminating much of the cost
normally associated with wiring labor and infrastructure. Axia Element
2.0 radio consoles are a hit, with installations in over 2,000 studios
worldwide.
